Following is an exchange of Usenet messages on the can.taxes newsgroup between Eldon Warman and "DT", in which Warman not only dishonestly quoted what "DT" actually posted, but also changes the subject of the message, thus making it more difficult for readers to discern the dishonest quote.

The first message is from "DT" to Warman:

Thanks Fred,

That pretty well sums it up and exposes Eldon's Detax program as the fraud that it is. It didn't take you long, either. Just a quick look at "Lesson 1". It was also nice of you to point out his spelling and gramatical errors.

I suggest that we tag your web page reference to every one of Eldon's misleading Detax posts to this newsgroup.

Now prepare for the inevitable Warman rant: Blah blah, Black-Robed Thug! Blah blablabla, Magna Carta! Blah blablabla Damage Control Goon! Blah Borg!

In response, Eldon Warman posts the following message:

If you compare what "DT" actually wrote with what Warman claims he wrote, you will see that Warman dishonestly quoted what "DT" originally posted. Also note the change in subject, intended to keep the reader from following the message thread and discovering the dishonest quotes.
